Kites on Ice

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Kites on Ice is a yearly outdoor kite festival held in Madison, Wisconsin. The event is free to the public, and is very popular, having an attendance of over 80,000 people in 2005.[1] The event features kite flying, kite workshops, kite shows, kite sports (such as kite boarding), and a fireworks show. The 2005 festival marked the 7th annual Kites on Ice festival. In 2006, the festival was put on hiatus to reexamine the event and fix some financial issues. It is possible that with the event's return, there could be a price of admission.[2]
