Kiss Kiss is a band that emerged from New York state college and was formed by Joshua Benash(Guitar, Synth, and vocals) and Jared Karns.(drums) The name Kiss Kiss is taken from series of short stories by Roald Dahl. Their music features an electric violin that adds an orchestral vibe to the indie-rock music, and comes out in somewhat of a twisted and eerie way. The songwriting along with the vocals, have also been described as extremely frantic at times, yet melodic and soothing at other times. Synthesizers and other electrical key instruments also contribute to the overall uniqueness of the band, not only in studio, but in live performances as well. A very special turn of vocals and guitar blend gives this band a unique touch on their music. As vast as their influences, their music is appealing to a wide audience. Since Kiss Kiss' formation, they have produced a Self-titled EP that consists of five songs. It was released on October 11th of 2005. A new album is has been released as of February 6th, 2007 under the New Jersey based Eyeball Records. Reality vs. The Optimist, Kiss Kiss' first full length album has been leaked onto the internet as of November 2006.
