According to current and past news releases on the KIRO-TV homepage, the station has closed the ratings gap in recent years and has surpassed KOMO-TV for the #2 spot in the local news ratings...Ranma9617 00:47, 26 July 2006 (UTC)

I removed the dubious tag, and revised the sentence to avoid reference to current ratings since the context of the section was the period between 1993 and 1997. This makes it easier for future editors, so that it doesn't need revision every time the ratings shift. --Roninbk 13:32, 10 September 2006 (UTC)
