Kirsten Hansteen (1903-1974) was the Norwegian appointed Minister of Social Affairs in 1945. She represented the Communist Party of Norway. Her husband Viggo Hansteen was executed by the German occupation forces in 1941. She edited the underground resistance paper Kvinnefronten (Women's front) during the German occupation.
