Kirori Mal College

Kirori Mal College began as Nirmala College, which was started by American Jesuits following the partition of India. It was originally located on Qutab Road. After the partition of India, due to staffing problems, the management of the college changed hands and a trust founded by Seth Kirori Mal took over the college.

The college moved to its present location at the North Campus of the University of Delhi on February 1, 1954. The college has academic, sporting and cultural facilities. It also has a fully computerised library, a state of art computer centre, a well equipped seminar room, gymnasium and sprawling lawns.

Other famous Alumni of the college include Amitabh Bachchan, G.P. Koirala, M.S. Kohli, Shakti Kapoor, Sayeed Naqvi, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Naveen Patnaik, Madanlal Khurana and Kay Kay. The college offers graduate and post graduate courses in Science, Arts and Commerce.The most popular courses are Maths, Zoology, Geography, Botany, Urdu, Bcom(Pass), Sanskrit and Physics.
