Kirkbymoorside is a small market town in North Yorkshire, England. It was the last town in England without double-yellow lines to restrict parking, and has a population of around 3,000.

The place-name was initially spelled either 'Kirkbymoorside' or 'Kirbymoorside', but now the latter is considered archaic and is never used in an official capacity within the town; for example, businesses and addresses. All sign-posts read 'Kirkbymoorside'.

The mayor, as of 2005, is Mr Nigel Richardson, owner of a local transport and travel organization.
