Kirk Sutherland is a character in Coronation Street who first appeared in October 2000. Kirk is Maria Sutherland's brother, a less than bright lad but with a good heart. A good mate of Tyrone Dobbs and Jason Grimshaw and long standing boyfriend of Fiz Brown, he is also friends with Les Battersby, with whom he lives and gets up to all sorts of tricks. Kirk now jointly owns the kennels that his parents ran previously with sister Maria.
