Kip Allen Frey

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

K. Allen Frey is the former Executive Vice President of World Championship Wrestling. He was fired by Bill Shaw, an executive on TBS' board of directors, in 1992. Frey was replaced by former regional promoter and wrestler, Bill Watts.

Frey is probably best known for instituting a policy of awarding a $1000 bonus to whichever wrestler he thought had gone above and beyond the call of duty in the past week instead of simply phoning in his performance in the ring.

He was one of the first WCW Executive Vice Presidents to make himself available to radio shows, newspapers, and other interviews in a public relations breakthrough.
