[edit] Usage Note

When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labelled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:

Edit summary text box

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

When you leave the edit summary blank, some of your edits could be mistaken for vandalism and may be reverted, so please always briefly summarize your edits, especially when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you. --Ryan Delaney talk 03:09, 25 August 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Quinton_Jackson

You might want to have a look at this article for another example of rampant fighter worship. --Ryan Delaney talk 02:36, 2 September 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks

Thanks for the clarification on the Shooto article! When I competed in a local grappling tournament this past weekend, I was in the 155/welterweight class there. I'm sorry for being inaccurate. Jimmy C. 23:11, 20 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Women in wrestling

Do you have any information on women in wrestling? As a beginning female wrestler myself, I ame intrested to know whose footsteps I am following in. If you have or could find any information, I would greatly appreciate it if you could drop me a note on my talk page.--Broken 03:44, 29 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling

Another user has created a stub for Greco-Roman wrestling and, noticing that Freestyle had a link in the main artical (Amateur wrestling) that re-directed back to it, I created a stub for freestyle. I noticed your name on the Wikipedia:List of Wikipedians by martial art, and was hoping you could assist me to expand these stubs as I have insufficiant knowlage to do so myself. Thank you in advance, --Akako| 19:21, 4 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Proposed deletion

I've added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Detroit-style pizza, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree, discuss the issues raised at Talk:Detroit-style pizza. If you remove the {{dated prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. --Ginkgo100 talk · e@ 22:35, 10 September 2006 (UTC)

I removed the prod tag because my concerns were addressed, albeit minimally. I have a rather inclusionist view but I am rigid about verifiability and original research. For future references, articles can be tagged for deletion in three different ways: speedy deletion, proposed deletion, and Articles for Deletion. I know it's confusing, and to make things more confusing, it's considered inappropriate to simply remove Speedy and AfD tags, but it's fine to remove prod tags.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask on my talk page! I also want to welcome you to the project (as we Wikipedians often call it) and offer my apologies if your efforts so far have seemed unappreciated or if the learning curve seems daunting. Happy editing! --Ginkgo100 talk · e@ 19:54, 12 September 2006 (UTC)
