Alice's Appearances

In the level, Wonderland, in the beginning, Alice is kidnapped by the two cards, the Hearts, and is held captive and locked up in a cage, and then as you beat halfway through the level, Deep Jungle, she appears in the scene where Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty asks the question, "Who could the princess be?", and then Alice steps up, even though Alice isn't a princess and is just a beautiful lady. --ZachKudrna18@yahoo.com.

... Princess of "Heart"; Being a Princess of Heart doesn't prelude that you rule your own kingdom. Look at Bell, she's not really a princess, only via Beast is she Royalty via loop hole. Additionally Kari isn't necessarily a princess, only a former resident of Hollow Bastion. --DaWooster

Cleanup maybe?

I suggest someone take a stab at cleaning up this listy article, in order to remove the lists. -- A Link to the Past 13:34, July 27, 2005 (UTC)

I'd like to suggest that the plot summery gets clean up... I'm not necessarily looking for a blow by blow description of what the game's plot is about. Something Considerably shorter and less spolier-y would be approrpiate.
Actually, the world's descriptions could use an overhaul. The summery's are too long for the format.
And the negative criticisums section is totally biased in favor of the Final Fantasy Fan Boys. Why not criticisums on the game it self, or atleast for a minor change of pase, from the Disney Side of Things. For example, the weak nature of the Summoning System, the very limited nature to which the Disney Characters could interact with eachother outside of their native Movies (An advantage that the FF Characters had 10 fold), or the overall lack of non-movie inspired worlds. -DaWooster
The "Criticism" section MUST go. Until somebody can create a credible, non-bias, cited description that isn't merely a review, its useless. It breaks the Wikipedia policy of not using "some people say" to describe one's own opinion.--Sam-El 21:08, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, lack of references. I would find some but I'm too tired right now. Axem Titanium 02:08, 13 August 2006 (UTC)
Someone needs to review and edit the summary. I think that it should be super-condensed on this page, and be linked to a full article with more infromation. The current information is lacking in important details, yet has a lot of topics no one needs to know to understand the game.

Voices in Kingdom Hearts

I've unfortunately never played the game, so I'm not quite clear: did the original Disney actors record voices for the game, or were phrases from the movies re-used? Thanks. --SarekOfVulcan 00:35, 16 December 2005 (UTC)

They did voice their dialogue specifically for this game. --Apostrophe 01:46, 16 December 2005 (UTC)
Really? In my opinion many of them sound quite different, while other sound exactly the same.Qwerasdfzxcvvcxz 16:09, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
Some voice actors were the originals, some weren't. --DJKingpin 17:18, 12 July 2006 (UTC)

Merge "Another side, another story"

The article Another side, another story needs to be merged here as there isn't enough information in it to stand alone. Please voice your opinion below, Support, Oppose, or Comment, below. ˑˑˑ Talk to Nihonjoε 20:16, 4 May 2006 (UTC)

  • Support as nominator. ˑˑˑ Talk to Nihonjoε 20:16, 4 May 2006 (UTC)
  • I vote we just delete that ASAS article altogether. It's not really needed, is it? urutapu 22:26, 4 May 2006 (UTC)
  • Huh, I went and redirected it before I saw the talk page. Oops. (Feel free to revert if you honestly feel the need to.) I can't really see the information being anything other than excessive fancruft, anyway. It's only one or two minutes long! ' (Feeling chatty? ) (Edits!) 03:22, 5 May 2006 (UTC)

Mandy Moore?

It's not Mandy Moore, but Mena Suvari that does the English version voice over for Aerith.

In KINGDOM HEARTS II. ' (Feeling chatty? ) (Edits!) 07:17, 6 May 2006 (UTC)
it's Mandy Moore. FOOQwerasdfzxcvvcxz 16:10, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
Mandy Moore does it in KH I but Mena Suvari does it in the second. See http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0390163/fullcredits Marty Donakowski 22:03, 28 June 2006 (UTC)

Cloud/Aeris Shipping in KH

I'm being told that Cloud was looking for sethroith in the orginal KH game. But I Say he was looking for aeris. if the sethroith thing is true, then disney hates square shipping. - ((Super Ranger))

Aerith was the fan interpretation until the release of -FINAL MIX-, where Aerith explicitly states that it wasn't her that Cloud was looking for. Then there's also the "Showdown of Fate" cutscene where Cloud and Sephiroth fight at Olympus Coliseum. urutapu 00:58, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
And this is why I think cloud was looking for aeris... i hate disney for not liking square shipping and like star war rippoffs. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Super Ranger (talkcontribs).
Why is it exclusively Disney's fault again? urutapu 04:19, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
I don't know. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Super Ranger (talkcontribs).
Square could've been the ones saying "Hey, let's make Cloud go looking for Sephiroth!" for all we know. Never accuse until you have credible proof. Plus, in KH2 Sephiroth says "I understand you've been looking for me." and Cloud replies "Yeah. Once I get rid of you, the darkness will go away." Or something like that.MissRora 04:43, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
Super Ranger, you spelled Sephiroth wrong, it's Spelled Sephiroth, Not Sethroith. - ((Someone))

Rumors of the Kingdom Hearts Movie

I'm pretty sure everyone's been hearing about this rumor for a long time now... I can't remember where, but I'm pretty sure I can comfirm that the rumor is true. Electronic Gamer published a major article about Kingdom Hearts and in it, the creator of Kingdom Hearts had an interview with Electronic Gamer and stated that if a movie were to happen, he would be very interested as well to be a part of the team. I can't find the source or quote it (and I appologize) but I would love it if someone could confirm and add this to the Kingdom Hearts wiki entry.

Tell me how Nomura saying he'd be interesting in participating if there was such a project is confirmation of one. urutapu 05:30, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
I'll settle this. I still have that very copy of the magazine, and I'll pull it out right now, and quote it. ...Directing a Kingdom Hearts DG movie: "If we were to create it, I would definately consider it and the movie possible." There you have it. Quoted directly from the magazine. I will scan the darned thing onto my computer to prove it if I need to. Besides, even if there was to be a Kingdom Hearts movie, we wouldn't see it for a while. At least not until KH2: Final Mix + comes out. MissRora 04:05, 24 September 2006 (UTC)

Mickey's Keyblade

I don't understand why everyone keeps saying Mickey got his keyblade in the darkness of Kingdom Hearts, when the Secret Ansem Report #2 from Kingdom Hearts 2 says that Mickey already had his keyblade before KH 1 even started. I deleted the part that says he got it from the realm of darkness and changed a few other minor flaws on the page. It also said "where the three where confined all their lives" or something like that. Anyway I changed it so that it says Kairi came from Radiant Garden.

I don't recall anyone saying he got it from the darkness of Kingdom Hearts, but just from the realm of darkness. "Radiant Garden" is not relevant to KH1, It's a plot element in KH2. Kairi is revealed to be from Hollow Bastion only in the Ansem Reports, otherwise Kairi's been at Destiny Islands for her whole life. She wants to get off too, y'know. - Zero1328 Talk? 11:23, 6 June 2006 (UTC)
No she hasn't been there her whole life. Unfortunately I am presently unable to find proof of this, but I recall Riku saying if it weren't for Kairi they'd have never known there are other worlds out there. Or something to that effect, anyway.MissRora 04:10, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
Also, there was a flashback scene in KH1 that showed a young Kairi talking to her grandmother in the library of Hallow Bastion. -SaturnYoshi THE VOICES 02:42, 26 September 2006 (UTC)

In Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix there is a scene in the Realm of Darkness where the King tells Riku "I found the keyblade for this side". While this does seem to cause a discrepancy between the information in FM and KHII it is possible that Mickey somehow found his way in and out of the Realm of Darkness before he met with Ansem the Wise.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 69.117.57.73 (talk • contribs) .

Simple And Clean

If it's at all worth mentioning (which it's probably not), the version of Simple And Clean (Hikari also, I believe) is a short version of the PLANITb Remix, not the original.

Indeed, the opening versions of Simple and Clean, and Hikari are PLANITb remixes. And I have bluelaguna.net (these folks downloaded the entire soundtrack onto their website, so logically they would've copied the names of each song directly from the track list on the disc) to back me up.MissRora 04:27, 24 September 2006 (UTC)

Citations

The editor of this article after me brought up a very good point: citations. The information I typed I got from a livejournal community, where a user posted a very persuasive entry about what I typed in the criticism. And since this Kingdom Hearts Community is very huge, and with many comments saying they agree, I believed it eventually became common knowledge, so I put it. Would you consider this to be ok?

- ManVsMachine 11:02, 18 July 2006

Well, I've actually never heard that, ever...o.o—ウルタプ 21:24, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
I've never heard that either, which is why I put in a request for citation. I think if we had a link to the livejournal post, that'd be better than nothing, but I had a problem with the wording as I felt it contained weasel words and that it was a minority view. Nonetheless, I'm open to keeping it if the language is toned down (ie, changing heavy reliability to just relied) and this criticism is cited - preferably to two sources or a discussion of the argument with many having the view. Nonethess, thanks for discussing this! Marty Donakowski 22:13, 19 July 2006 (UTC)

Voice cast section?

I'm sure I'm going to be blacklisted by tons of editors here for suggesting this but does this article really need a voice cast section? Taking two featured articles as an example (Excel Saga and Final Fantasy X), I would say that such a noticable list in the main article not only is not helpful but also detracts from the article as a whole. This isn't to say that it isn't helpful at all (as I have looked up voice actor names several times here), but I feel that it would be better served as a separate article with a link if nothing else. I've also voiced this concern at the Kingdom Hearts II page. Axem Titanium 02:42, 25 July 2006 (UTC)

I think it definatly belongs in this article, the game is a hybrid of movie storylines and video game play; as such, it deserves a list of voice actors Marty Donakowski 16:38, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
I could see a paragraph about how this game's voice cast is special (in that it recasts the original voices for the work) but not an entire voice cast section, especially if it lists every single character. In fact, most of it is repeated in the List of Kingdom Hearts characters article and I would be happy to finish adding voice actors in that article. Also, I don't like the way it's written out. A good template to follow would be from Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children where a table lists the characters' names and are followed by their english and japanese language actors. Axem Titanium 18:53, 25 July 2006 (UTC)

Update: I've finished adding the voice actors into the characters page. Someone please check my work there against the list that was on the main page. Axem Titanium 22:58, 30 July 2006 (UTC)

I reverted your edits since no one has agreed that the voice section is superfluous. If more people feel it as such, I can understand an edit, but until some more discuss here (and please do if you would like it to be gone) it should remain.Marty Donakowski 23:58, 30 July 2006 (UTC) Additionally, I think the format for the voice actor was pretty good in a list form, if we did move it to the characters page it would be preferable to have all listed together rather than seperate them into each character's section.
To quote Apostrophe's (and my) argument, "Keep in mind that Final Fantasy X had to nuke its VA list to get Featured Article status." However, if you really want to keep it somewhere (for example, Voice actors in the Kingdom Hearts series), see User:Axem Titanium/Kingdom Hearts voice cast for a voice actor table I started. Axem Titanium 01:52, 31 July 2006 (UTC)
Since Apostrophe agrees with you, I'll accept the change. Marty Donakowski 22:43, 2 August 2006 (UTC)

Finished with the table. User:Axem Titanium/Kingdom Hearts voice cast Axem Titanium 04:21, 9 August 2006 (UTC)

Trivia Section

Why was it removed? Marty Donakowski 23:58, 30 July 2006 (UTC)

To quote Apostrophe again, "Trivia sections are a excuse to dump information without actually adding to the article. NONE of the featured articles have trivia sections, and for good reason." Axem Titanium 01:53, 31 July 2006 (UTC)

Kingdom Hearts II PAL

In the sequels section, it says that the PAL version of KH2 will be released on September 28. Shouldn't we put the exact release dates of the locations, because Japan and USA have different release dates even though they're both NTSC? Jienum 20:15, 25 August 2006 (UTC)

Well, there's also the worry that having too many release dates (like The Legend of Zelda series) will make the infobox look clunky and overlong. Besides, Sept 29 in Australia is actually the same absolute time as Sept 28 in Europe (Sept 28 also being the PAL release date in UTC). Also, a distinction is already made between Japan and US, but a distinction between Europe and Australia would not make much of a difference since they're released on the same day, practically speaking. Axem Titanium 20:59, 25 August 2006 (UTC)
To tell the truth, Axem, I found that 29 September Europe release date on Amazon.co.uk, so I'm really not so sure if it's a very reliable source. But have you seen any other confirmation of the Europe date being 29th September? If you have, I'd like to see it. And thanks for the answer. Jienum 12:24, 26 August 2006 (UTC)
Personally, I don't really care when this game is released in Europe or Australia simply because I'm not European or Australian. I do think that having the release date is important information though. As such, I've made no effort whatsoever to find and/or confirm their release dates, only made them look a little more encyclopedic. Axem Titanium 15:12, 26 August 2006 (UTC)
(Chuckle) Well, the real concern is the page, not the release itself.
By the way, if you don't care, where are you from anyway? Jienum 12:14, 31 August 2006 (UTC)
I'm a megamerican. But I have to remind you that talk pages are not a place for socializing and should be restricted to discussion about the topic only. Axem Titanium 00:08, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
Yes, I know that, but even rules can be bent once in a while, can't they? Anyway, I've just seen that the September 29 date for Europe has been officially confirmed by the Playmania Magazine in Spain. I know this because I bought that Magazine today. Jienum 21:04, 1 September 2006 (UTC)

The Greatest Hits version is also on sale for $19.99.

WikiProject Final Fantasy

I, for one, think that this should go back into it. It says it's not related enough, but in some ways IT HAS EVERYTHING to do with FF. There are alot of characters from it, it has the names of some of the magic in FF (e.g. fira, blizzara) and there are some people who think Kingdom hearts is Final fantasy, but in another timeline. Trunksamurai 20:46, 2 September 2006 (UTC)

Go argue about it there. Personally, I'm sure I could get anyone from there to copyedit this page if necessary. FA push sometime this month, yo! Axem Titanium 03:39, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
Kingdom Hearts does not have everything to do with Final Fantasy. The two have a number of similarities, of course. The central element of the plot, however (Sora's trying to find Riku and Kairi) has nothing to do with FF. As far as the timeline theory goes, explain that to with with undeniable logic, and have credible sources to back you up, and maybe some poor sucker will believe you.MissRora 04:17, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
