[edit] Assessment

Hello all, and thank you for contributing to this school article. I'm part of the Wikipedia:WikiProject_Schools/Assessment team, and I'm reviewing this page. I'm currently giving it a grade of Stub on the Wikipedia 1.0 Assessment Scale and an importance of Low on this importance scale. My reasoning is as follows: No references, some WP:OR. Needs a lot to justify an article. Adam McCormick 02:14, 9 April 2007 (UTC)

Does anybody know when Anne Nutt became headteacher? Or maybe she has just always been headtecher. Martin Le Roy 11:30, 13 August 2006 (UTC)

Hey, glad to see someone is putting our own little corner of the world onto Wikipedia. To answer your question, no Anne Nutt hasn't always been headteacher. I started at kingcase in 1980 and the headmaster was Mr Simpson (no idea what his first name was). I am trying to remember when he left, but it was probably around 1984. He had been there since the school opened, sometime in the 1970s.

I have a question - has the school badge changed? It has certainly been jazzed up, if not more significantly changed. The original Kingcase Badge was the badge of Prestwick Public School (now the Community Centre on Caerlaverock Road) apart from the border of it changed to gold. And the bell that hangs by the staff carpark is from there too (although originally from the old church in Kirk Street) and has an interesting story to tell. Sorry that this all sounds a bit on the anoraky side, but I was at school in 1983 when Prestwick held its millenium celebrations, and we had a load of town history drummed into us. I am 31 now and still remember!

Last point, is it really appropriate to have USBOB under the school badge when it is an alcohol reference? Funny though the name may be for adults, the joy of buckfast isn't really something you really want to be seen as going hand in hand with primary education!Ewan carmichael 10:20, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
