Talk:King of Newfoundland
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
[edit] Title
This article seems a bit misleading as there was never technically a King of Newfoundland. The sovereign's title included the phrase "and the British Dominions beyond the Seas", a category into which Newfoundland, like Canada, Australia, Cyprus, etc., fell. The separate title "of the United Kingdom, Canada, and her [his] Other Realms and Territories, Queen [King]," was created in 1953, four years after the Dominion of Newfoundland ceased to exist. --gbambino 19:40, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
