[edit] Lost info

After careful editing by SANewton, much of the information has been removed from the article. It also seems rather less than strictly NPOV (for instance, "an environment of academic excellence where scholarship, stewardship and faith are integrated" isn't particularly objective, nor easy to verify). Is there any reason to avoid restoring the missing information (dorms, convocations as an aspect of spiritual life, the affiliation with PCUSA, etc.)? Jaeger5432 | Talk 18:55, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

I am only in this Talk:king College by way of the Tennessee Project, but I tend to agree that the statement "an environment of academic excellence where scholarship, stewardship and faith are integrated" is decidely not a NPOV (the implication being that state/secular college settings without "stewardship and faith" fail to meet any standard of academic excellence)...pure puffery.4.88.57.34 21:25, 7 February 2007 (UTC)

Yes, this article is full of promotional language. I removed the statement that it was consistently ranked as one of the top 10 schools in the country by US News and World Report. The current (2007) ranking is "Liberal Arts Colleges, fourth tier" -- see http://www.usnews.com/usnews/edu/college/directory/brief/drglance_3496_brief.php . --orlady 18:13, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
