Kinston High School is a high school located in Kinston, North Carolina. It is is the largest school in the Lenoir County Public School System, serving approximately 1,200 students, with the freshmen class being the largest. Kinston High was built in the 1970s as an integrated high school to serve the city. Kinston High has several successful athletic teams. Recently the school has obtained the internationally known International Baccalaureate (IB) program. The IB program is very rigorous; only a few students achieve all the objectives of the program.
