Kinnison is a character in Konami's role playing game Suikoden II and Suikogaiden Vol. 1. Kinnison is a hunter who lives in the forest around Ryube. He grew up with Shiro, his wolf-dog, and has been hunting for a long time. He is concerned with the balance between nature and man, and he joined Viktor's mercenaries (and then the Dunan Allied Forces) to help get rid of Highland Soldiers who were ravaging the lands. He continued to serve in the Allied Forces until the end, and by that time he developed a crush on Ayda who also is a hunter and protector of nature. Ayda doesn't seem to mind this. After the war Kinnison often visits Ayda who lives and hunts in a different forest to Kinnison.
