Kinnernet

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Kinnernet is an networking event for Internet experts, held at the Ohalo Resort in Israel annually each Spring since 2003. Organised by Yossi Vardi, co-founder of ICQ, Kinnernet serves as a think tank for the Internet, with some 250 professionals in the field meeting at each year's event, including many of the world's leading experts in the field. Previous attendees have included Kevin Slavin, Nimrod Kozlovski, Jeff Pulver, and Yair Goldfinger.

Much of what is discussed later becomes a topic at the Globes Marker, a two day Internet business conference in Tel Aviv.

Kinnernet takes the form of an invitation-only "geek camp", modelling itself on Tim O'Reilly's Foo Camp. Kinnernet aims to provide like-minded individuals the opportunity to gather informally and discuss topics of mutual interest.
