Kingsley Hunter or Kinger as he likes to be called is arguably the greatest player in the history of AFL/WAFL. He played 100 of the greatest AFL games ever seen he played for Hawthorn/Bulldogs/Fremantle/East Fremantle. He brought something to the game; something that other players just could not deliver. I like to think that what Kinglsey brought to the game was 'magic'. He simply could turned a game on it head without lifting s finger not since Gary Ablett has there been a player quite as a 'special' as Kinglsey. But those is’nt to say that Kinglsey did’nt have his far share of trouble. Despite his obvious skill and talent he was never given enough opportunities to reach his full potential. This is indicated by the fact that he only played 100 games when he easily could have played 300. Coaches were never too fond of Kinger; this was because he was such a massive celebrity that if you were to play him week in and week out it would have brought unheard amounts publicity to the game never even thought of. This is why he left the Dockers to play for the Bulldogs he was then traded from the Bulldogs for the same reason as the Dockers. He then arrived at Hawthorn where he played one game; however that game was easily the best of Kingers career amounting in 2 action filled behinds scored by Kingsley. Kinger than left Hawthorn and moved back to Perth and started to play with East Fremantle. He stayed there for 2 years before he left in 2005. Ending his career on a sad note , however he left East Fremantle shrouded in controversy. Some thought that Kinger left due to large amount of celebrity publicity that he brought to the club. This publicity would often get Kinger in trouble we must sight the Britney Spears Break-up as the main scandal of Kinger's career. Whatever the reason was we have missed out on one of the best players of all time continuing their spectacular career.
