Kings of South Beach

Kings of South Beach is a 2007 film about Chris Troiano, an operator of nightclubs in the South Beach section of Miami Beach, Florida. Troiano is portrayed by Jason Gedrick; a friend of Troiano is played by Donnie Wahlberg. The film premiered on March 12, 2007 on the A&E Network.
The film is based on the exploits of Christian Ludwigsen, also known as Chris Paciello. He is a transplanted New Yorker who takes up residence in South Florida. He becomes a big man in the South Beach nightclub scene, after escaping hard times and hard crimes back in his hometown where he was involved with the Mafia. He eventually turns government witness once arrested on racketeering charges, including a home-invasion murder, and testifies against known members and associates of the Colombo and Bonanno crime families.
The film was written by Nicholas Pileggi of GoodFellas and Casino fame with Martin Scorsese.
Another film regarding the same subject, Unmade Man, is due to be released in 2007.
