King Boca or King Bocca was the legendary founder of the Bocking settlement in the Saxon Kingdom of Essex. He is believed to have been either a Viking or a Frisian. His people were called Beocca which means the settlement of the people of Bocca. Ann Hoffman wrote that "it is Bocca whom we honor as the founder of Bocking."
