The "King Biscuit Flour Hour" (often misspelled "flower") is a syndicated rock and roll radio program that debuted on February 18, 1973. It is broadcast weekly by many radio stations in the United States. The show is produced by King Biscuit Entertainment, which originated as the King Biscuit Radio Network and later expanded to include King Biscuit Records and kingbiscuit.com.
Many performers who have been featured on the program, including Rush, Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Zebra, The Alarm, April Wine, Black Oak Arkansas, Bachman-Turner Overdrive, Motörhead, Pat Benatar, Deep Purple, Jimmy Page, Foghat and David Crosby, among others, have released their performances on album, also bearing the title King Biscuit Flour Hour.
The name is derived from King Biscuit Time, a blues radio program first broadcast in 1941, sponsored by the King Biscuit Flour Company.
