Wiang Kao (Thai: เวียงเก่า) is a minor district (King Amphoe) of Khon Kaen Province, northeastern Thailand.

The minor district was established on January 6 2005 by splitting 3 tambon from Phu Wiang district.

Neighboring districts are (from the north clockwise) Nong Na Kham, Phu Wiang, Chum Phae and Si Chomphu.

The district is subdivided into 3 communes (tambon), which are further subdivided into 36 villages (muban). There are no municipal (thesaban) areas, and further 3 Tambon administrative organizations (TAO).
