Wang Chao (Thai: วังเจ้า) is a district (Amphoe) of Tak Province, northern Thailand.

The minor district (King Amphoe) Wang Chao was established on July 15th, 1996, by splitting off some part of Mueang Tak district.

Neighboring districts are (west from clockwise): Phop Phra, Mueang Tak of Tak Province, Kosamphi Nakhon, Mueang Kamphaeng Phet, Phran Kratai of Kamphaeng Phet Province.

The important water resources of the district are the Ping River and Khlong Wang Chao.

The district is subdivided into 3 communes (tambon), which are further subdivided into 28 villages (muban). The township (thesaban tambon) Wang Chao covers parts of the tambon Chiang Thong. There are further 3 Tambon administrative organizations (TAO).
