Khao Chamao (Thai: เขาชะเมา) is a minor district (King Amphoe) of Rayong Province, eastern Thailand.

The district was split off from Klaeng in 1993.

Neighboring districts are (from the north clockwise) Bo Thong of Chonburi Province, Kaeng Hang Maeo of Chanthaburi Province, and Klaeng and Wang Chan of Rayong Province.

The district is subdivided into 4 communes (tambon), which are further subdivided into 21 villages (muban). There are no municipal (thesaban) area, and 4 Tambon administrative organizations (TAO).
