King is a Canadian television series on Family Channel and also aired on Nicktoons TV in the UK from 4th March 2006, however, it was showing on POP! in March 12 2007.

The show is about a boy named Russell who has found a crown and a portal under his bed which leads to an alternate universe called Under. Because he has found the crown, he is proclaimed the King.

  • Russell - He moved into a new house, found the crown, and became King of Under. Surprisingly, he is a very good ruler of Under in contrast to the other rulers of the worlds in Under.
  • Gus - A West Highland White Terrier, who has the ability to talk, but only when he is in Under.
  • Loopy - One of Russell's subjects, he displays effeminate and cowardly tendencies. Best friend of Verne.
  • Vernon - An android who is also one of Russell's subjects. He is considered a genius and is immune to most attacks that happen in Under. Best friend of Loopy.
  • Ex-Princess Populah - A former princess, presumed heiress to the throne of Near-Under, but turned the offer down because she is not despotically driven. Related (though not specified) to Auntie First.

  • Cliff - Former King of Under, a bully who constantly picks on Russell because he wants to be king again.
  • Bob Wire - Another former King of Under, he is always trying to steal Russell's crown, since if he did so, he would become king. He is made out of metal wire, and like Verne, is immune to most attacks that happen in Under.
  • Frags - Two small green creatures, henchmen of Bob Wire. They sometimes take the side of Russell or one of his companions.
  • Auntie First - The narcissistic ruler of Near-Under, not very good at her job but maintains it nevertheless. Is referred to as "Auntie" by everyone, even those who aren't related to her.
  • Captain Darling - Auntie First's right-hand man, he also takes the side of Russell occasionally.

the world under where the show takes place is made up of three different continents. under, ahead-of-under, before-under.

wire keep- Bob Wire's home. Rarely seen in the show.

tree launch forest- Forest with trees that fly when their safety is threatened.

flatulent swamp- A swamp with lots of fowl-smelling plants and animals.

floating mountains- A mountain range outside of Under. As the name says, the mountains float. The exact mechanism that keeps the mountains afloat is a mystery.

frolicking island-

horrible caverns- Caverns under Under. Home to the night slythers, horrible monsters with mouths on each hand.

wall eye- A gargantuan, continually-weeping eye set in a cliff-face. The source of almost all the monsters in Under.

the moon- Under's Moon. Formerly used as Under's trash dump until the combined weight of all the garbage threatened to cause the moon to crash into Under.

miss atila's school for lady despots- A despot training school that Populah is sent to by Auntie First so she may follow in Auntie's footsteps

rolling hills- Hills with large furry spheres rolling perpetually up and down. Again, the exact mechanism that keeps the balls rolling is a mystery.

equatorial glaciers- Tundra located at Under's equator

uncertain city- Ancient abandoned city that appears and disappears from existence at random, anyone in it when it disappears goes with it, not knowing when they will ever return.

chimney mountains- Barren area consisting only of huge chimney stacks with lava inside.

west pole-

hole island- Island inhabited by pirates. Has enormous treasure hole.

dandylion clif- the only known places in ahead under are dandylion clif and gronk. the only known local wild life are gerbil mice and bedrock beasts.

sky-cow- a flying cow like creature. russel and his friends use these as transportation.

sky-beast- a more common used creature used as transportation. they are usually used by bobwire and auntie first.

slyther- a large dinosaur like creature. has a shovel like mouth use for digging.

night-slyther- although sounds like it relative to the common slider its actually more monstrous looking then the more seen one. it looks like a big green ball with many eyes, tentacles, long arms with claws and mouths on them, and a big spiky mouth.

thoosh- a large walrus like creature. it spouts water from its spout to instatnly grow plants and eat them. its water can also instantly clean places.

rebbuloc- a wolf like creatures native to flatulent swamp. avoid.

bird of happenstance- a large blue bird with beak and eyes in reversed position (beak above eyes). Whoever it poops on is cursed with bad-luck for a year. its feathers bring good luck.

krenit- the ultimate defensive beast. it has heavy armor, multiple eyes to spot prey, and a super fast tongue that grabs anything it touches.

ippy clippy- the ultimate offensive beast. its the natural enemy of the krenit. it has eyes on stalks, a large club like tail, and 2 huge popeye like arms. it was so dangerous that they were ran out of the continent. great uncle zed beat the last ippy clippy and hid it in the walleye. bobwire rehydrated it and it was beaten up by a boy and girl krenit.

slorch- a large red furry creature that can breath fire. they only eat spicy hot peppers. They can also speak English.

plurn- a large one eyed squid like fish. babby plurns lived on land and breathe air, then the mother squirts them with ink and they turn into adults. the plurn ink doesn't just turn babies into adults it also can turn other creatures into fish like creatures.

spite sucker- a red leech like creature. It feeds on anger. Once it's attached to someone the only way to get it off is for the person to get so angry that the spite sucker flies off because of overload.

dream gulper- a medium germ like creature. it can make dreams real. if the dream isn't corrected by sundown it becomes permanent.

gorble birds- hideous blue birds with udders. they poop out gross smelly organ like slop. they usually migrate to near under.

sea clutch- a small fish like creature. it got its name because it grabs things in its clutches.

rock monkey- a monkey like creature. its arms are where its nose is supposed to be. its favorite food is pumpernickel.

sea sloth- a sloth like creature native to the sea.

jelly droppers- large hovering jellyfish like creatures. they drop huge balls of blue jelly. cousin tez uses them as heavy assault bombers.

skiffer skink- a hound like creature. once it locks on a certain scent it will never give up on the track. the female versions are pink.

great big hairy eye-ball- a floating hairy eye that statue-izes anyone who looks directly at it. the statu-ization eventually wears off. it's only weakness is being squirted in the eye with the juice of a certain berry "so sour it'll turn your face inside-out".

bedrock beast- a large worm like creature that eats any rockish material.

parabat- a flying manta ray like creature. it is used as a parasail on frolicking island.

sharkrunner- a red dinosaur creature with a shark like head and a shark fin. it is used to pull the parabat on frolicking island.

squump- a dumb, lazy cow like creature. it is used for certain food products such as riggly pies and also keeps away slaphappies. when they get old they go out to spend their golden years and the valley. when that happens slaphappies show up and cause trouble. the only way to get ride of them is to get a new herd. to get a new herd you have to wrangle the herd leader which is usually the biggest and meanest bull squump. bull squumps have bull horns.

fang ferret- a small ferret like creature with sharp fangs.

donkey horse- a donkey like horse. they are treated like real horses in argyle flats.

gigagutt- a giant stomach. it eats about everything. it can't swim accodring to populah since she said it would go to near under then under then under under. this also revels it can burrow. it's allergic to vegetables.

slaphappy- an always happy creature who loves playing pranks on townsfolk. their natural enemy are squumps since they're the only thing that will get rid of them. they come in 4 colors red, orange, blue, and green.

pool clam- a clam like creature with 3 tongues that look like hands. they are quite common on frolicking island.

pirhana moth- a savage moth like creature that eats clothing. it can eat peoples clothes to their underwear.

skitchybug- a blue bee like creature.

brainsucker- a hideous glop of flesh. they jump on people's head and make them dumb as squumps. Loopy is curiously immune to this.

pudric- A small purple entity that acts as a "blame sponge". Unless blamed continually for everything that goes wrong, it will transform into a gargantuan creature and run amock

phrobish- Small, weasel-like creature. Its bite can cause Monsteritis

phrobish victims- Underites and humans that contracted Monsteritis from a phrobish

gon go worm-

pilf- tiny creature that looks vaguely like a rat with a robber's mask on. Fond of stealing anything and everything they can get their hands on.

lurber- Enormous creature with a highly specific diet. It only eats Kings. Its hair(referred to as a "head-lawn") must be kept short in order to keep the creature dormant.

guardgoyle- Vicious bulldog-like creature used as a portal guardian.

king car- Under's first automobile. Driven off a cliff into a canyon to prevent Auntie First and Bob Wire from reverse-engineering it.

cloudhop mall- Flying mall, uses "stinks" as fuel

drilling rocket- Rocket that burrows through the earth

eye-looker and eye-looker srceen- Reminiscent of a periscope

gargantubob- A mecha built to look like Bob Wire. Runs on Swamp Gas.

smartulator- A device created to reverse the effects of Brain-Sucker attachment. Also capable of dramatically increasing the intelligence of normal individuals it's used on, but this seems to be limited to natives of Under.

Kiosk of random opportunity- A wheel-of-fortune-like spinner with careers on it instead of amounts of money. When someone spins it, whichever career it lands on becomes that person's new career instantly
