Kinepolis

The Kinepolis Group is a Belgian chain of movie theatres conceived in 1997 which consist of 21 theatres in Europe.

The first megaplex cinema in the world is generally considered to be Kinepolis Brussels located near the Atomium in Brussels, Belgium, which opened in 1988 with 25 screens.

Previously it was owned and run by two families named Bert and Claeys. Recently the latter have withdrawn from the company, leaving Joost Bert as CEO.
