Kimberly Jones (reporter)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Kimberly Jones is a sports reporter for the YES Network, a position she has held since 2005.
Her primary role in her first season was to interview New York Yankees manager Joe Torre after each Yankee game. Torre felt uneasy about the questions being asked by Jones, which has been reported to come directly from Yankee ownership. In response, Torre will not have a post game interview specifically for YES in 2006.
During Yankee cablecasts on YES, lead play by play announcer Michael Kay jokingly refers to Jones as Lil' Kim Jones, after the popular rapper that she shares a name with. Before Kimberly's stint with the YES Network and Yankees, she was a writer for the Star-Ledger newspaper in Newark, New Jersey. Her columns focused on football, specifically the New York Giants.
