[edit] DX
Can you stop removing the paragraph stating chyna billy gunn, road dogg and x pac wont be joining. Most of the orignal DX will not be there as it will only be triple h and shawn michaels. Keeping that paragraph reminds people that it will not be the orignal DX removing it is misleading people.
- I'll continue to remove it for two reasons:
- Firstly, it's clumsily written, the fact it's being regular reentered without anyone correcting it shows up those who are doing it.
- Secondly, the original DX was HHH, HBK, Rick Rude and Chyna and since Rude left early on and Chyna was pretty much the silent bodyguard figure until the second version when Michaels left, it's mostly remembered as HHH and HBK who are the two that any new DX will include.
- I would suggest that since you seem to be the only person left who's determined to have it included would imply you're in the minority when it comes valid people consider it.
- In spite of that, if you truly believe it has some value then perhaps start a discussion about it to gather other's opinions, if there seems to be much interest then rewrite it and include it. In that condition may I suggest that you should start at the very beginning; sentences (and especially paragraphs) generally shouldn't start with the word "But". --Kiltman67 15:43, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
how is it clumsily written, just because it not up to your standards doesn't mean it is clumsily written. It contains the facts. Rick rude died and was replace with x-pac, road dogg and billy gunn they are considered the orignal members of DX, its a FACT they have all stated they will never return to the WWE so leaving that out and not mentioning anywhere is missleading and people can think they will join triple h and hbk when they will not. Well since theres only really 2 other people apart from me that edits the page that statement is unfair but i could say the same for you, your the only person to remove it. i like to include the facts and the truth in articles which that paragraph is, many members have editted that section to include everything it has now, so many people believe it should be there which it should. Dont have any reason to remove TRUE and FACTUAL information. Why should i start a discussion on a paragraph of true and factual information. I believe it shouldnt be re-written i can't see anything wrong with it you are the only one that finds fault in it mainly because you dont want it on there, the DX page isn't your page people are allowed to freely add true information on the page, if it wasn't true then fine remove it but its true information and shouldn't be removed. Just because it's not up to your standards don't mean it cant be on the page.
- As I implied, the clumsiness of the paragraph is not the sole reason I dislike it. As I earlier mentioned, generally "But" is considered a bad way to start a sentence, nevermind a paragraph. The first sentence as a whole is pretty informal and I'd argue has little relevance anymore as the content immediately before the paragraph has changed so often.
- The argument that as I'm the only one who's removing it I'm the only one who has a problem with it is flawed since if I was in the minority there would be lots of other people reinserting it, when in reality there's only you, since the other people who have reinserted it seem to have stopped.
- As for the actual content the fact remains that X-Pac, Road Dogg and Billy Gunn were not the original members of DX. The core of the original DX was HHH and Shawn Michaels, with Rick Rude as an early member and Chyna, who never really asserting herself until the second version when Shawn got kicked out (with X-Pac, Road Dogg and Billy Gunn added) where she got involved in the Atlanta invasion, parodies etc. I think you could ask most people about DX and they'd agree that there was these two versions and quite clearly.
- It seems rather strange that the original DX could be HBK, HHH, Chyna, Rude, X-Pac, Road Dogg and Billy Gunn when HBK and Rude weren't even in the group at the same time as X-Pac, Road Dogg and Billy Gunn. It's like claiming Ronnie Wood was one of the original Stones along with Brian Jones.
- You can't excuse the mention of anything simply because it's factual. It's factual that George Bush has two hands, but I think if I included it in his article it would be deleted. It's not about just being factual, it's about being appropriate too and for the reasons I've provided, I don't believe it to be appropriate. --Kiltman67 19:06, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
