[edit] Astronomy

I don't know whether astrophysicists call an ergosurface a Killing horizon or not, but it would contradict the definitions in standard relativity texts because the ergosurface is not a null hypersurface.

[edit] Must distinguish between Solutions and their Coordinate Charts!

I might have more comments later, but at a glance one major problem I noticed right away is that this article currently refers to coordinates which belong to specific charts in solutions like de Sitter lambdavacuum, RN electrovacuum, etc. This will be terribly confusing once we add more articles discussing various charts (dS in particular has about a dozen charts which I plan to discuss in detail). ---CH 23:26, 18 December 2005 (UTC)

And another thing, to help users find information (and to help WikiProject GTR track and improve gtr-related articles) please add appropriate categories.---CH 23:27, 18 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Students beware

This article concerns a topic dear to my heart and I had been monitoring it for bad edits and I had planned to try to improve it, but I am leaving the WP and am now abandoning this article to its fate.

Just wanted to provide notice that I am only responsible (in part) for the last version I edited; see User:Hillman/Archive. I emphatically do not vouch for anything you might see in more recent versions, although I hope for the best.

Good luck in your search for information, regardless!---CH 01:27, 1 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] shortcut link to Killing

added: "(Killing fields are named for Wilhelm Killing.)" for the convenience of curious casual browsers who arrive here from Event Horizon and might be wondering if the 'Killing' is done with knives or poison. :)
