why is it called that?


"The 2005 solo album, Tyranny of Souls by Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson features a track named Kill Devil Hill. The song is a reference to the discovery made by the Wright Brothers." What did the Wright Brothers discover? riffic 17:34, 17 January 2007 (UTC)


The Wright Brothers discovered how to make an airplane that flies. They did this while on the Kill Devil Hill in 1903. The town was later named for the hill. 65.40.167.169 18:08, 27 January 2007 (UTC)

seriously, every freaking North Carolina beach article has POV problems and sounds like it was written by a bad travel copy writer. come on, people. encyclopedia, not your tiny town's travel brochure.

i just read it again and this is seriously one of the worst articles i've ever read on wiki. for shame.
