The Kilgore Forthouse was built by Robert (Robin) Kilgore. He died in Scott Co Va. May 29, 1854, Age 88 yr 10 mo 30 da. He was married to Jane Porter Green, daughter of Patrick Porter and Susannah Walker (Dungannon, VA). Her first husband was killed by Indians at Pound, VA along with Robin's father Robert Kilgore, Sr. Robin was a minister and married many couples at his Forthouse. He was the youngest son of Robert Kilgore, Sr and Winnifred (Milly) Clayton.
