Kilimanjaro International Airport (IATA: JRO, ICAO: HTKJ) is a small airport that serves the community of Arusha near Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.
Despite its small size, the airport can handle aircraft up to Boeing 747s. The airport is not a hub for any airline, but because it is in Tanzania it sees a large number of flights from Air Tanzania.
KLM lands at this airport en route to Dar es Salaam. For many Europeans this is their first stop in Tanzania.
The airport served 294,750 passengers in 2004.
