Kieran Murphy (Erin's Own)

Kieran Murphy (born 1983) is an Irish sportsperson who is a member of the Cork senior hurling team.

Kieran Murphy was born in East County Cork in 1983. He has made five appearances for the Cork senior hurlers since making his debut in 2005. He is best known as a substitute. During his senior hurling career Murphy has contributed to Cork's Munster Championship and All-Ireland victories in 2005. Prior to this he has won an All-Ireland Minor Hurling medal in 2001, as well as an All-Ireland Minor Football title. With his club, Erin's Own, Murphy has won 3 County Minor Hurling medals and a County Senior Hurling Medal.

On the 12 December 2006 he was announced as the 2007 Cork Senior Hurling Team captain following his club's win in the Cork County Senior Hurling Championship.
