[edit] Technical Problem (Footnotes)

Anybody know how to keep the footnotes from doubling? I've tried everything, and the preview before posting changes to the stub comes out okay, but the actual edits won't do anything other than post the two citations as the 3rd and 4th, and generate two mystery placeholder footnotes.
