[edit] Shakkahou

I believe you and won't remove the spelling, but what omake can it be found in? I thought it was in the Abarai/Kira/Hinamori omake, but it's not there. Please clarify. -- Y Ynhockey (Talk) Y 17:42, 17 March 2006 (UTC)

It's in the ch -17 omake at the end of vol 15. I've uploaded the appropriate page: http://lvlwing.rastereyesdesign.com/images/BLEACH15_0171.jpg It's in the middle panel.

Yeah I've found it also. It was indeed in the Abarai/Kira/Hinamori omake. Good find. -- Y Ynhockey (Talk) Y 17:50, 17 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] translations of incantations of Bakudo #31 and 33

Are they intentionally so similar in structure, or was it the result of a vandalism? Four of their first five clauses are identical, and the fifth is almost the same... --Pentasyllabic 00:58, 19 August 2006 (UTC)

The kanji in both are the same up to the "name of man" part, so yes. I wonder whether it would be worth altering the wording to make it more obvious... Setokaiba 10:46, 19 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Incantations

I really have no good suggestion of what to do with them, but they are really problematic - it's hard to translate whole passages from Japanese to English in a way that 2 different people agree, especially passages as intentionally complicated as these. Any suggestions? -- Ynhockey (Talk) 05:12, 30 August 2006 (UTC)

If the Viz translations and the dub agree, and are a reasonable translation, I suppose we may as well use those. We'll need someone with the English manga, of course.Setokaiba 09:07, 30 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Page move

I suggest moving the page to "Kidou" since that's the official English (per Bleach episode 1 dub). Yes? --Zeno McDohl (talk) 22:55, 12 September 2006 (UTC)

If we're doing that, we should put it at Kidō. --tjstrf 22:57, 12 September 2006 (UTC)
What does the official English manga say? -- Ynhockey (Talk) 16:58, 14 September 2006 (UTC)
It's Kidō in the English manga. But it's nothing about "demon arts", instead they say it's "Soul Reaper powers"... --Zeno McDohl (talk) 19:01, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
They also refer to them as "Soul Reaper spells" a lot in the anime. --tjstrf 19:05, 1 October 2006 (UTC)

The dubbers just moved up one slot in my book. Dekimasu 12:48, 25 September 2006 (UTC)

Not mine: they don't distinguish between hadou and bakudou. 03:57, 9 October 2006 (UTC)

I agree, what's up with that? Now blast #33 is bakudō? Let's hope this is just a one-time screw-up, or it will confuse many people as to what the difference between kidō and bakudō is. -- Ynhockey (Talk) 04:47, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
Can someone comment on the English manga? Dekimasu 01:27, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
My sister has it... I'll call her soon probably.--Anaraug 01:31, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
Ehh... she's at a sleepover. I can find out tomorrow if no one else does first.--Anaraug 01:34, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
Aw man, Zeno beat me to it... yeah it's Kidō, at least the first time.--Anaraug 03:30, 2 October 2006 (UTC)

So do we agree on this? --Zeno McDohl (talk) 05:16, 18 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Possible Unintentional Spoiler

In the Overview section, fourth paragraph, where mention is made about finding Aizen, I was thinking this might reveal just enough to potentially spoil some of the plot. I may just be paranoid though.--^zer0dyer$ 13:15, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Incantation edit

There was no evidence that a spell without an incantation is reduced to 1/3 power. Aizen specifically stated his failed and thats why it was 1/3. Other incantationless spells were never stated to be 1/3 of their power

There is no proof that it's necessarily 1/3, but it's more difficult to properly cast spells without incantations, and spells with incantations are more powerful. See my edit summary for the Aizen/Gin/Spell 90 explanation. Also there were 2 cases (I think) where Rukia was able to cast a much more powerful spell by reciting the incantation. -- Ynhockey (Talk) 00:42, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
  • "With sufficient training, the first step can be bypassed, allowing spells to be used in combat quickly."

Wasn't Hinamori able to cast that incapacitating binding spell without either the incantation or it's number? -Biokinetica 09:19, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
