Please do not "prune" red links, they still need articles making for them. Bluemoose 9 July 2005 09:13 (UTC)

- My bad, I was deleting blue links not red links. I will be careful next time.--Kiba 9 July 2005 13:25 (UTC)
[edit] Gmail
Hello Kiba,
Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed your post on the village pump about Gmail invites. Usually, we need to be careful not to turn this into a forum or chat room about computers, see WP:NOT. A lot of other web forums have people who offer Gmail accounts, like 419eater.com or several blogs. Just please remember that Wikipedia is a place where we write articles together. If you have more questions, you can ask me on my talk page. Thanks! — Stevey7788 (talk) 20:55, 19 July 2005 (UTC)

[edit] REPEATED WEBCOMIC DELETIONS
Hi, Can you give a valid reason why you and your friends from Comixpedia continue to edit out an example of a 3d webcomic? That comic happens to be a 3d comic and I noticed there were no examples in the article. I added it as an example of a 3d webcomic. I would hate to think you are all claiming ownership over an article in Wikipedia which is open to edits and improvements. I might feel the need to consider reporting your over edits as abuse of wikipedia.org. If you feel the need to be constructive why not write an article about the webcomic in question and add to the wealth of knowledge instead of leaving an open ended topic like 3d webcomics uncovered? User:141.155.205.74 05:41, November 7, 2005
- First of all, I am also a wikipedian. This is not a place to spoil adversitement for any nonotable webcomic. If you want that 3d webcomic in an encyclopedia, than go over to comixpedia.org and put it there. I have no ownership of any article. All of my contribution are licensed under the GNUFDL so the public can play with it as much as they want as long they follow the GNUFDL license. The wikipedia community will not put up with vanity. Last of all, I do not abuse wikipedia.org and alway edit in good faith.--Kiba 23:20, 7 November 2005 (UTC)
- Hi Kiba, I was going to tell you about this but I see you got a message from this user, too. I guess I'll just say that I appreciate all the work I've seen you doing on various webcomics articles! Dragonfiend 02:33, 8 November 2005 (UTC)
- Hi Kiba, Hi Dragonfiend.
First let me start out by apologizing if it seems I was overly upset. Not my intention. I read Dragonfiend's response to me on his talk page and it made sense to me why he chose to delete it. But I must address the issue on Vanity with you. The comic just happens to be a comic I thought might offer something to the comment of 3d experimentation in the article. Nothing more. In addition, I was planning on at some point adding http://www.boltcity.com/ to the mix. A comic very much worth noting yet from what I've seen - not listed. It has nothing to do with advertising, or vanity but rather a desire to share some of the rarer gems out there. Is there objection to adding "Copper" to the list? Perhaps you can best explain what exactly your rules are for wikipedia so that others can edit more to your liking? User:141.155.205.74 05:41, November 7, 2005

- Well, notability for one is a requirement. That is...it must be popluar enough, etc. I suggest you ask another wikipedian because my description of it is rather vague or look at wikipedia policy which is located somewhere in the community portal. "A desire to share some of the rarer gems out there" is not a good excuse for adding webcomics. For one thing, please be careful when adding stuff or it look like adversitement. Do not add external links in the middle of an wikipedia article unless it for reference stuff or where you got your source. Again, I suggest you to look at wikipedia policy.--Kiba 22:56, 8 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Wesnoth
I fail to see what value this change adds to the article. It seems to be just adding a reference section for the sake of using the template. I won't revert, but your change seems fairly pointless. --Ardonik.talk()* 23:40, September 3, 2005 (UTC)
- Well..the article need to be verfiable. It will never become feature article if it doesn't have reference. These are the articles where I got the information from. I don't like to leaving them external link. I don't think it pointless.--Kiba 23:45, 3 September 2005 (UTC)
- You seem to be confused about the meaning of the word "reference." Just having Template:Ref and Template:Note on an article for no reason is not enough. References should be used to provide citation for information that is not obvious. What you did is the equivalent of me doing this:

Battle for Wesnoth is a turn-based strategy game.

- That is, your reference section is clearly only there for the sake of having the section. The article would be laughed right out of WP:FAC if we tried submitting it at the moment. --Ardonik.talk()* 00:22, September 4, 2005 (UTC)
- I am not adding it there for the sake of having a section. I alway placed an empty section if it have a purpose, even without contents. I don't like it when people deleted the section just because it had no contents. I still think that the reference link add values. If you want to remove that, go ahead, but I will not like it. I did this many time, and I never got an objection yet for adding references links until now. I prefere this not turn into a silly dispute as it create annoyance.--Kiba 00:34, 4 September 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Hi
Hi, Kiba. Your overeagerness and a threat from Nicholas and others on the IRC to ban *me* has caused me to leave the wiki temporarily. Thanks! --WikiFan04Talk 21:29, 3 Sep 2005 (CDT)
