From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Kibworth Beauchamp is a village in the county of Leicestershire in England. It's name is derived from Anglo-Saxon Cybba-worþ = "enclosure belonging to a man named Cybba". Beauchamp was the name of the family who owned the local manor.

Closely connected to the village of Kibworth Harcourt, with whom it shares the church of St. Wilfred. The church itself is 14th century with a 19th century tower. The original tower collapsed on 23 July 1825 during repairs.

The village was a local centre for the hosiery industry with one factory employing over 400 people by the 1920s.

Nearby villages include Fleckney, and Smeeton Westerby.
