Khoon Bhari Maang is an Indian Bollywood movie released on August 12, 1988, directed and produced by Rakesh Roshan. It is about a widow who wants to avenge her enemies. The film stars Rekha in one of her most acclaimed performances, Kabir Bedi, Sonu Walia and Shatrughan Sinha in a supporting roles.

Aarti Verma (Rekha) is a widow and a mother of two kids. Her father, Mr. Saxena (Saeed Jaffrey) is one of the richest and most famous businessmen in the city. Aarti`s husband has died in a mysterious circumstances as a result of car accident. She is unattractive, even ugly woman and without any hope in life.
Soon Aarti`s father is murdered by his worker Hiralal (Kader Khan) and her world destroyed. She doesn`t find any sense for her life exept bringing up her children. Hiralal pretends as he is a friend of her and takes care of her like a father. He brings his poor nephew Sanjay (Kabir Bedi) from abroad, Who is also the lover of Aarti`s best friend Nandini (Sonu Walia). Although Nandini loves Aarti she is intensely in love with Sanjay and after he requests her to help him, she finnaly agrees to help him rob Aarti`s patrimony.
Little by little Sanjay gets close to Aarti`s Children. Nandini and all the family convince Aarti to marry Sanjay and finnaly she marries him. Day after the wedding ceremony, Aarti, Sanjay and Nandini go to a short trip, in which Sanjay pushes Aarti from the rowboat into the water, Where there is a terrible crocodile. The crocodile injure her and destroys her body. Aarti`s supposedly corpse is not found and fortunatelly Sanjay can`t inherit the legacy. As a result of this, the family is in hysterical situation. Sanjay comes to abuse the children and all the family. While all this occurring, Aarti is found by an old farmer, who rescues her life.
Few months later, Aarti with her destroyed face, full of bitterness and grudge, decides to return to her city and avenge her offense. She exchanges her earring with huge amount. She makes a plastic surgery and becomes a beatiful lady, very different from her previous image. She returns as a new person, She changes her name to Jyoti and finds a job as a model, in the same agency where her ex-friend Nandini works too. Her goal is to conquer Sanjay as an unknown woman and kill him in the same way like he has done with her. From now she goes into a dangerous vengeance journey, and she won`t get calmed, until the day she receives back her home, children and dignity.
