Kherbet Rouha

Kherbet Rouha is a town in the Rachaya District of Lebanon. It lies in the Beqaa Valley, about 10 kilometres northwest of Mount Hermon. The town is known for its Muslim conservatism and also for the largest mosque tower in Lebanon (100 m in height). People from Kherbet Rouha have emigrated to many points in the world, chiefly Canada and Brazil. In Canada most families originating from Kherbet Rouha are represented in Lac La Biche,Alberta, where they have been present since the 1900s There is also a large number of Kherbet Rouha descendents in Windsor, London, Toronto Ontario, along with Calgary, Alberta, Edmonton, Alberta, and in Detroit, Michigan.
