[edit] Mountains

Hello my Pakistani friend. First of all I have moved the peak to english good reasoning well spotted. All you have to do is look at the top right of the page click move and move to desired page. I have mentioned at beginning it is commonly known as Pico Alcanzor in Spanish. Second Tilla Jogian. If you live in the area you probably more than many known more about it than others. Don't feel guilty editing something than doesn't reflect a true picture and gives poor information. Use your knowledge to try to improve it but don't worry if your english is not perfect. This will come in time -think of it as a learning curve mate. As for the Urdu Digest it was clearly an Urdu publication which needs to be categorized. If I wasn't so busy I could probably use my great knowledge and ability to turn it into a good article. Good luck and I hope I am helpful. You can see all of my User:Ernst Stavro Blofeld contribs to see my work on wikipedia in many fields such as János Fadrusz, Leon Moreaux, Tashilhunpo Monastery, William Garwood , The Diamond from the Sky The Covered Wagonetc. I am currently establishing the entire country of Slovakia. Feel free to help me in my work you seem an intelligent enthusiastic person. All the best Ernst Stavro Blofeld 15:45, 24 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Pico Almanzor

So far, you have cited no source that uses "Almanzor Peak" (and all the ones I've seen seem to have been written by non-native speakers of English, mostly Spanish people over-compensating). Your map with a "+" symbol uses the name "Almanzor"; even if the "+" signifies a peak, it is not part of the name, but merely a cartographical symbol. So the two names that are routinely used are "Almanzor" and "Pico Almanzor", and of the two, the former is already being used for a disambiguation page. As I said on my talk page, it might be possible to move "Almanzor" to "Almanzor (disambiguation)", and "Pico Almanzor" to "Almanzor" (although most of the incoming links to "Almanzor" do not refer to the mountain, suggesting that that's not such a good idea). However, there does not seem to be a good reason to use the name "Almanzor Peak". There is no reason why every word must be translated into English, especially for place-names. Although "Los Angeles" may be translated as "The Angels", we still call it "Los Angeles". The same is true of mountains; we have "Mont Blanc", not "Mount Blanc" and certainly not "White Mountain". --Stemonitis 08:13, 27 October 2006 (UTC)

Hi mate. Nice going on geography articles. Ernst Stavro Blofeld 10:09, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

Stemonitis: You have not given any international source to prove that Pico Almanzor is used on maps?

I can many but I thought National Geographic and Berann are enough and trustworthy, but I think you dont know about these authentic sources.

YOU WROTE >>>>Your map with a "+" symbol uses the name "Almanzor"; even if the "+" signifies a peak, it is not part of the name, but merely a cartographical symbol.

Gentelman it is not my map only that have "+" sign all maps have, and "+" sign 'signifies' a peak. Well what is the need of writing a full word 'peak' when mere "+" sign is enough.

Well I am waiting for the use of word Pico Almanzor on a map on an International Atlas !!!!!! I hope you will provide soon. Otherise I have the right to ask the Wikipedia authorities that I am being teased.

[edit] Aab-e-gum

I ran across the article you created about Aab-e-gum while trying to help with the orphan page. Currently, there are no other pages that link to it. I have some questions (which I posted on the article's talk page) that may help us expand the article so that it can more fully contribute to the wikipedia knowlege base. I would appreciate any comments you may have or facts that you could add. Thanks. Carolfrog 07:37, 24 February 2007 (UTC)

Thank you for replying. I still have some questions, though. WHY is the railway station famous? I'd like to include some more of its history in the article, if it would be valuable to Wikipedia readers. Also, do you have any sources (books, magazines, newspapers, etc.) that you can cite, so that people who read the article can be assured they are reading accurate information? Thanks for any help you can give. Carolfrog 18:27, 25 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Notability of Ajaz Anwar

A tag has been placed on Ajaz Anwar, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (below the existing db tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. RJASE1 Talk 16:09, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
