Kharovsk

Kharovsk (Russian: Ха́ровск) is a town in Vologda Oblast, Russia, located on the Kubena River some 90 km north of Vologda. Population: 11,460 (2002); 13,083 (1989 Census). Geographic coordinates: . The settlement was founded in 1903 as a railway heading north of Vologda was constructed. Town status was granted in 1954.
