Khamtum

Khamtum was the fifth king of Lan Xang (Laos) (ruled 1429). His mother was Nang Keo Phimpha, sister of the late king, Samsenthai. Khamtum succeeded Phommathat, his second cousin, after his mother beheaded Phommathat. Before he was king he was Governor of Pak Houy Luang, so Khamtum was of referred to a "King Pak Houy Luang". After only 5 months on the throne he was forced to abdicate. He was succeeded by Meunsai.
