Her reign was cut short by her cousin Neferata, who was founder of the Lahmian vampire sisterhood, in ritual combat during a great celebratory feast. The Queen of Lahmia accused Khalida of treason and proclaimed these during the banquet. Neferata was studying the black arts of the secrets of Nagash and had drunk the cursed elixir of damnation, hence, had been reborn into eternal cursed existence. If Khalida wasn't silenced then the Lahminas deadly secret would be known. The two fought in front of nobles, Khalida was a skilled and powerful warrior but she was no match for Neferata's unholy swiftness. As Khalida lay on the floor, bleeding, Neferata sunk her teeth deep into Khalida's neck. Neferata kissed the dying Khalida, biting her own tongue, and her vampiric blood went into the Queen's throat. In desperation Khalida cried out to the Gods to save her from vampiric living nightmare of eternal damnation. The Asp Goddess heard and appeared in a divine vision. The Goddess purified the vampiric taint from Khalida's veins with poison. Khalida still died but she was buried in the Asp Goddess' temple in Lybaras. There she sits unmoving with a beautiful death mask created in her likeness. When she is needed for battle, the power of the Asp goddess infuses her limbs.

Khalida has very long, razor sharp fingers that are coated in extremely toxic venom. She is also blindingly swift, striking before enemies can react. She carries the venom staff, which spits magic poision at the enemy, and is also a powerful user of magic. Her armies are based around archers, all of whom can potentially have the blessing of the Asp, granting them poisoned arrows.
