Khadíjih-Bagum

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Khadíjih-Bagum was the wife of the Báb and the daughter of Haji Mirza `Ali, the paternal uncle of his mother. They were married in August 1842. She had two brothers, Haji Mirza Abu'l-Qasim and Haji Mirza Siyyid Hasan. The descendants of these two brothers-in-law of the Báb, along with the descendants of his maternal uncles are known as the Afnán (the Twigs). In 1846 the Báb bequeathed all his property jointly to his mother and to his wife who was to later inherit the whole estate.
