"Too much art is no art at all... like candy instead of bread."

Served time in Jerusalem; have now hopped between northern and southern California for the past several years.

Previous thinktank research revolved around the problems associated with Hamas/Hezbollah raids into Israeli territory; Russian/Chechen relations; Afghanii situation, and the current border situation facing the Central Asian CIS states, most notably those in the Ferghana Valley (Kyrghyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, as well as the Pakistanii border problems plaguing the Balochistan/Punjab provinces). Was surprised (and yet not entirely shocked) to learn of Basayev's death (He is otherwise known as the butcher who initiated and approved of the Beslan school hostage situation).

Current personal research is on Rodhocetus (both kasranii and balochistanensis); vertebral osteology in delphinids (Buccholtz and Schur have written an incredible paper on the subject); and issues associated with illegal whaling. Am also eager to eventually see the archetype bauplan cetacea, complete with conical tooth/baleen matrix. One was reportedly found in the Pacific Palisades in Southern California some years ago, but has been apparently housed away in storage ever since.

On occasion, I enjoy a Miyazaki film; as well as perusing through his art books.
