Kfar Yasif or Kafr Yasif (Arabic:كفر ياسيف) is an Israeli-Arab town in the North District of Israel. It is located near the city of Acre. It is comprised mostly of Muslims and Christians as well as housing a minor population of Druze.

[edit] History

Kfar Yasif was captured by Israel in the 1948 Arab-Israeli War. Unlike most captured Arab towns the extreme majority of the Arab population did not flee the town. Kfar Yasif is one of the few Arab towns that has been in complete Arab ownership without confiscation of land by Israel. The Druze prophet Nabi Al-Khadr's tomb is located in the town and is visited by Druze on Jan. 25.
