Key West Citizen

The Key West Citizen is a daily newspaper published in Key West, Florida. As of 2006 the paper has been published for 125 years under various names. The name was changed to the Key West Citizen on April 29, 1905. The first edition under the new name and format was printed at 534 Front Street and the headline was the coming of Flagler's Overseas Railroad to Key West. The publisher was Walter Willard Thompson (1875-1929), who previously was the editor of the weekly Key of the Gulf. Its current publisher is John Cooke Jr.
The Citizen is the only daily newspaper published in the Florida Keys.[1]
