Please take a look at American and British English Differences. We use BE for British/Commonwealth topics and AE for American topic. They spell it with an extra u in Australia so the John Howard article should reflect that. --Jiang 01:12, 18 Sep 2003 (UTC)

Hey, you might like to help out at Wikipedia:WikiProject Australian law if you have some time. The law articles on Wikipedia are generally in a pretty bad shape :( Enochlau 11:36, 16 Jun 2005 (UTC)

[edit] James Ruse page

Hey, just wondering, would you be willing to release your James Ruse photos under the GFDL, which means that they can be properly used in Wikipedia? Currently, they are marked as copyright status unknown which is a problem since they could be deleted at any time... to release them under the GFDL, simply add {{gfdl}} to the image description page. Thanks. Enochlau 03:13, 11 July 2005 (UTC)

Yes indeed the article has become quite fleshed out since I last visited, good job *thumbs up*... a pity about the alumni list ;) Let's hope that can be rectified in the not too distant future. p.s. www.kewpid.com? i must say, i'm surprised such a domain hadn't been bought out long ago by some dating agency... Enochlau 10:59, 11 July 2005 (UTC)

Hey, I'm James and I go to JRAHS (class of '08). I've noticed quite a few Rusians and ex-Rusians editing Wikipedia, glad to meet you. What year did you graduate? JSIN 08:36, 12 September 2005 (UTC)

Hmm... do you use msn msgr? I got into contact with user:Techelf earlier this year, another ex-Rusian. His name is Kieren Po I think. Do you know him?JSIN 12:28, 12 September 2005 (UTC)

[edit] CityRail maps

About the CityRail maps that you recently uploaded... are you sure they are in the public domain? I think the ones on the trains are very much adorned with copyright symbols. Enochlau 05:55, 27 September 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Sydney Law School photo

Legal professionals? You speak of them too highly. I insist they are students, who have an implied obligation to further the devious aims of our esteemed institution, on Wikipedia or otherwise :) Enochlau 22:31, 21 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Carmel Tebbutt.jpg

The image that you have uploaded, Image:Carmel Tebbutt.jpg, has been tagged with {{Promophoto}}. Please ensure that future image uploads are appropriately tagged, or they may be deleted within seven days without warning. Enochlau 23:21, 22 November 2005 (UTC)

(There should be a drop down box on the upload page for you to select one. Otherwise, you can select one from Wikipedia:Image copyright tags. If you can't work it out, or can't be bothered, just drop a note on my user page :) Enochlau 23:22, 22 November 2005 (UTC))

As abhorrent as it may be, IPod Midget will be deleted in due course (5 days) via the Wikipedia:Proposed deletion procedure. I don't think it meets any speedy deletion criteria. enochlau (talk) 08:08, 17 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image Tagging Image:James Ruse School Song.ogg

Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:James Ruse School Song.ogg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an arguement why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Shyam (T/C) 13:42, 17 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image Tagging for Image:Julie_Owens.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Julie_Owens.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] Australian Mathematics Competition

Hello. I'm writing up this article and thought a JR person could help me (high probability of being mathematically oriented). Do you know what the markscheme for 2003-04 was? I know what it was changed to in 2002, and it was changed to the current version in 2005, but I can't remember if they tweaked it in 2003-04. • no i think what is written on Australian political pages is watched very vigilantly. I posted something on Collin's bio a while back that I thought was NPOV and was told very quickly that it wasn't. Perhaps what you deleted was true. :-) Albatross2147 08:17, 7 May 2006 (UTC)

Argh argh argh, - if you have some time, could you plz help me with the fed con articles? I'm trying to get at least everything stubbed and the major ones analysed so we'll walk into the exam with a prestine set of notes. [edit] David Clarke

Thanks for stepping in and fixing this article up a bit. The reason I was slightly concerned about it was due to User:Kataposmanson's editing. The user appears to be a Liberal politician called Luke Martin, this fact is easily realised by looking at his edits (particularly this edit.) I've left a comment on his userpage and am keeping track of his edits. If I come across a problem similar to David Clarke in the future, do you mind if I contact you? Also, I'm going to be away from Wikipedia for two weeks from Friday, not sure what to do about this guy during that time. --Oldak Quill 14:07, 30 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Honi Soit

Your recent contribution(s) to the Wikipedia article Honi Soit are very much appreciated. However, you did not provide references or sources for your information. Keeping Wikipedia accurate and verifiable is very important, and as you might be aware there is currently a drive to improve the quality of Wikipedia by encouraging editors to cite the sources they used when adding content. If sources are left unreferenced, it may count as original research, which is not allowed. Can you provide in the article specific references to any books, articles, websites or other reliable sources that will allow people to verify the content in the article? You can use a citation method listed at inline citations that best suits each article. Thanks! Andjam 14:04, 5 January 2007 (UTC)

Yeh, the SMH covered that website - I can't imagine it ever being taken seriously. But I'd expect that it will be here for a while, just like how churches are still here even after a couple of thousand years. enochlau (talk) 02:36, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
