The last sentence declares that no one was disciplined for Pat Tillman's death. The truth is a little less stark, several reprimands were given at the unit level, but no high-ranking officers were disciplined.Virgil61 12:41, 5 March 2006 (UTC)

  • Yeah, I'm not ready to put an NPOV notice on here, but suggesting that there was a cover-up and that nobody was punished is probably a bit much. It also seems a bit out of place, considering that this is Kevin's article. Akbeancounter 02:43, 6 March 2007 (UTC)

Authenticity of letter There seems to be some doubt about whether Kevin actually wrote the letter cited in the last sentence. Has any other news source run the letter?

  • I haven't seen any serious news outlets expressing doubt. The letter was covered by MSNBC , The Nation, The Washington Post, and ESPN (although it should be said that some of these stem from the same AP story.) Best I can find on the other side are some right-wing bloggers saying that they suspect the letter is fake [1]. The fact that Snopes used to classify this as "undetermined" only fed the fire, but now it is firmly classified as true. Akbeancounter 02:43, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
