From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Kevin Smith (born April 7, 1970) was a professional American football player who played for the Dallas Cowboys. Smith attended Texas A&M University, where he was a cornerstone for several successful Aggie football teams with his stellar play at cornerback.

Smith was drafted in the first round of the 1992 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys, and in his rookie season, was a starting cornerback for the Cowboys when they won their first Super Bowl since the 1970s.

Smith's career was de-railed when he tore his Achilles tendon in the 1995 season, and although he returned to the Cowboys in 1996, he was never the same player after the injury. Smith's final season with the Cowboys was in 1998.
