Kevin Patrick Reese (born March 11, 1978 in San Diego, California) is a major league baseball outfielder for the New York Yankees. Due to an injury to outfielder Hideki Matsui, Reese was called up to the New York Yankees on June 26, 2005.
In his first major league plate appearance, which came against the New York Mets, Reese drew a walk. In his first official major league at-bat, Reese struck out. Later the same week, he was returned to the minor leagues by the team.
On May 12, 2006, Reese was recalled by the Yankees from the Columbus Clippers to serve as a backup outfielder after Hideki Matsui broke his wrist. He collected his first Major League hit in a game against the New York Mets, on May 20, 2006.
